FRIENDS (Friends Reaching Inspiring Educating Neighbors About Down Syndrome) Friends promotes community understanding and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome. Be a part of our group as we offer our families and caregivers multiple ways to connect with other families and professionals in our area. Our dedicated board and volunteers make this happen by organizing fund raisers, workshops, family social events, and fun age-appropriate group events for our loved ones. Arkansas Down Syndrome Association Arkansas Down Syndrome Association (ADSA) was incorporated in 2004 and is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. ADSA is dedicated to advocating for healthy, inclusive, and productive lives for people with Down syndrome (DS). We serve our DS community by providing free events and services for families across Arkansas—as well as sponsor awareness and educational materials for schools and communities. We are an all-volunteer organization guided by a diverse board of directors made up of medical professionals, members of our local business community and parents of children with DS. Bringing Up Down Syndrome BUDS is a non-profit organization in North Alabama that has existed for over 16 years and boosts almost 400 members!Bringing Up Down Syndrome
BUDS is there to offer support, encouragement, and personal experience to these families as well. BUDS wants to help each family see that their child is still a precious gift… just a different gift in a different package. -

This project started as a way to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st. (People with Down syndrome have 3 copies of the 21st chromosome, so 3/21 is a great day to celebrate them!) Every year, our family celebrates our wonderful daughter, who was born with Down syndrome. -

Blessed By Downs BLESSED by Downs was founded by Sheri Dupre’ DeFelice in 2009. Sheri was inspired to create the organization after giving birth to an exceptional set of twins. Her son, Jayce, was born a typical child and her daughter, Olivia, was unexpectedly born with Down syndrome. DeFelice believes Olivia and others like her should be given the same opportunities as Jayce and other typical children.Blessed By Downs
